MISSION
EU NEWS REPORTING – Our mission is to provide accurate, independent, and accessible journalism on the European Union. We inform citizens, foster transparency, and promote understanding of EU policies, institutions, and their impact. Through rigorous reporting and balanced analysis, we strive to bridge the gap between EU decision-making and the public. We empower readers to engage with Europe’s future in an informed and critical way.
FROM EUROPE TO LOCAL – We also recognize the crucial importance of connecting Brussels-based reporting with local and regional media across Europe. Decisions made at the EU level often remain distant or abstract unless they are translated into clear, relevant narratives for local audiences. By supporting the flow of reliable information from Brussels to local newsrooms, we help ensure that European issues are reported accurately, with context and proximity. Strengthening this connection contributes to a more informed public debate, where citizens can better understand how EU policies affect their communities directly. Local and regional media play a vital role in building trust, countering misinformation, and making European governance more tangible. Our mission, therefore, includes fostering collaboration, sharing expertise, and providing accessible resources that enable journalists at all levels to cover the European Union effectively and responsibly.
VIDEO JOURNALISM. Video journalism plays a crucial role in modern media by bringing stories to life through powerful visuals and sound. It allows audiences to witness events as they happen, creating a stronger emotional connection than written reports alone. Through video, journalists can capture details, expressions, and environments that deepen understanding. It is especially important in covering breaking news, where immediacy and clarity are essential. Video journalism also helps reach a wider audience, as visual content is more engaging and easier to share online. In the digital age, social media platforms rely heavily on video to inform and influence public opinion. It gives a voice to people and communities that might otherwise go unheard. Moreover, it enhances transparency by showing real footage rather than relying solely on descriptions. However, it also requires responsibility to avoid manipulation or misinformation. Overall, video journalism is a powerful tool for storytelling, education, and global awareness.
