“All the reforms we are adopting are bringing results”. This was stated by Magnus Brunner, the European Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration, during the Med9 Conference of Interior Ministers (Italy, France, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Malta, Slovenia, and Cyprus), currently being held in Croatia, regarding the new migration policies adopted by the EU. We are seeing it when we look at the decrease of the 55% of illegal crossing in the past two years and the illegal crossing from the Balkan routes saw a decrease of 90% in the last three years and this year we saw a decrease of 43 % in the first three months. We are definetly going in the right direction”.
