“Massacres in Gaza and Lebanon, the time to suspend the agreement has already come”, declared Danilo Della Valle, MEP for The Left group, on the sidelines of the conference “Building Peace in a World in Conflict”, organized by his colleague Carolina Morace. The aim is to strengthen the Union’s pacifist vocation and strengthen dialogue in the area of conflict resolution. Della Valle then spoke of European Union double standards, faced with 21 sanctions packages voted against Russia, but none against Israel. It also recalled that Article 2 of the Association Agreement had been violated, as it provided for respect for human rights.
