“We are ready to become the 28th EU member state.” This was stated by Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović during a press conference at the European Parliament in Strasbourg alongside European Parliament President Roberta Metsola. The two leaders celebrated this moment of profound transformation for the Union, marked by the historic decision to launch negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova, and by the strong revival of the Western Balkans agenda, described as a “top priority” on today’s agenda.
