The week strats on Monday, July 13, with the Foreign Affairs Council: on the sidelines of the meeting, Italian Minister Antonio Tajani takes stock of the hottest geopolitical issues, from the Middle East to Ukraine, and on common defense. In the afternoon, the Italian agricultural sector takes center stage at the European Parliament with the event “Italian Rice and the European Challenge: Quality Beyond Trends.” Sponsored by MEPs Daniele Polato and Mariateresa Vivaldini (FdI), the meeting will feature top officials from Confagricoltura (Francesco Pacchiarini for Milan-Lodi-MB, Antonio Strada for Lombardy, Marta Sempio for Pavia), the President of the National Rice Authority Natalia Bobba, Elvira Tartisano (Committee of Biologists’ Associations), and Giuseppe Signorelli.
At the same time, at the headquarters of the Region of Tuscany, the EUAMI Summer School is being presented in the presence of Chief of Staff Cristina Manetti, Chair of the European Affairs Committee Irene Galletti, and Sara Bertolli (GFE).

Tuesday, the 14th, begins with a focus on diplomacy and human rights: European Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Šuica speaks at a conference on the future of Gaza alongside Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, and then participates in a forum on demographic trends.
At the European Parliament in Brussels, MEP Sandro Ruotolo (PD) comments in an interview on the new report regarding the impact of social media on young people, which has just been approved by the Committee on Culture and Education.
The afternoon is dedicated to technological innovation. In the afternoon, the values and identity of the European Union took center stage at the debate organized by Pro Vita & Famiglia, “Europe and Africa: a conversation with Cardinal Robert Sarah,” with MEP Paolo Inselvini (FdI) speaking on the sidelines.
Thursday, July 16, begins in the morning with a plenary session of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) focusing on EU enlargement. Commissioner-designate Marta Kos speaks, emphasizing that the accession of new member states in the near future is not merely a formal process but a crucial geopolitical and security issue for Europe’s overall stability.
