“When citizens are directly hit, it is up to local authorities to provide resilience support, support for citizens and support for rehousing,” said Patrick Molinoz, a member of the European Committee of the Regions and Vice-President of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, on the sidelines of the 4th International Summit of Cities and Regions in Kyiv, held the day after one of the largest Russian attacks of the war and focused on the essential role of cities and regions in Ukraine’s resilience, reconstruction and European integration.
