“The institutions must build a network to support research, families, and the recognition of PANS and PANDAS among rare diseases,” Forza Italia MEP Salvatore De Meo said during the event “PANS & PANDAS: A bridge between science, healthcare, and European policies”, hosted at the European Parliament in Brussels. It featured talks by leading international experts in PANS/PANDAS and paediatric neuroinflammation. National associations also presented the situation in their respective countries, highlighting needs, challenges, and best practices. Countries represented included Spain, Sweden, Romania, France, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
